Triumph 2007 Tiger 1050

In today’s LA Times, Susan Carpenter provides a review of Triumph’s new, 2007 Tiger 1050. You can find the entire article here.

Among the many changes for the 2007 Tiger, which Carpenter says could be called a Cheetah, is losing 38 pounds, an upgraded frame and an electrical control unit with more memory to make the bike more fuel efficient.

Triumph also reduced the front wheel from 19 inches to 17 to provide riders with more tire options and increased the rear tire from 150 mm to 180 mm for more traction.

One of Carpenter’s only complaints is that the saddle height is a little high. So vertically challenged riders may have a hard time mounting the bike.

For the sport adventure fan, it appears the Tiger 1050 is worth a look.
