Baby your chrome for a brilliant shine
Have you ever been about to head out for a ride with the guys or to your favorite rally but realized that you need to clean your bike a little (or even a lot)? Or have you just wanted to brighten up your chrome a bit in an attempt to ‘blind them’ to the fact that the rest of your bike is filthy? And, after making that decision, have you ever found yourself out of your regular chrome polish?
If so, a simple and common household item may come to your rescue.
That item? Well, it’s baby oil. And, according to the April issue of Real Simple Magazine, it can be used to polish chrome!
Think I’m crazy? Well I did? At least until I did a cursory ‘googling’ of baby oil and chrome and found that it is an apparently well documented procedure. You simply add a dab to a soft cotton cloth and get to polishing.
So there. You learned something new today.
And by the way, you can probably stand a little of that baby oil on your exposed, wind-ravaged skin following your ride as well!
