Interesting report in The Times of India today reporting that a trade deal has been struck to allow a limited number of Harleys to be imported into India at a lower duty rate in return for the US allowing Indian mangoes to be imported to the US. See the entire story here.
Apparently, the reason that Indian mangoes have not been imported in the past has been due to US standards on treatment of weevils and fruit fly and how they differ from the standards used in India.
In addition, the entry of Harleys to India will have to meet with Euro III norms.
