Disposable windshields for your motorcycle

For those of you who ride a Harley-Davidson Road King, Heritage Classic or Electra Glide, you now have the option of a ‘disposable’ windshield in the form of Touring Tear-Offs from Hesperia, CA based Touring Enterprises, Inc. You can find their site here.

Touring Tear-Offs are a set of four layers of disposable windshields that are designed to provide a defense against the abrasive and sometimes caustic substances that your windshield encounters on a regular basis. Each layer can be easily cleaned or, after it has reached its maximum use, removed to expose the next layer in a new like condition. The four layers of Touring Tear-Offs should last an average of 15,000 miles under normal road conditions.

Prices range from $79.95 to $169.95, depending on your specific model. And professional installation is recommended.

Per the Touring Tear-Offs web site, Phil Flack Rally Services will be selling and installing Touring Tear-Offs at the following rallies:

April 07 Laughlin River Run
May 07 Myrtle Beach Rally
July 07 Wing Ding, Montana
August 07 Sturgis Rally & Races
Sept 07 Reno Street Vibrations
Oct 07 Las Vegas Bikefest
As well as others and more to be added

I suspect that with professional installation, you might be able to have them retro-fitted to other motorcycles as well.

About Ronn

More to follow in this space. I am just a guy who is interested in motorcycles. I currently ride an '04 HD Heritage Softail Classic (I traded in my '06 HD XL 1200 C in February 2008). I started this site because I am just arrogant enough to think that I can put together a site that appeals to a wide, cross-section of riders on several different levels. I hope you find it interesting, provocative (just really wanted to use that word :-) and fun and that you will encourage others to visit as well. Thanks!
