Physics and motorcycling

On a whim, I was wondering if there was anything out there dealing with the physics of motorcycling. A cursory search lead me to a book by Vittore Cossalter entitled ‘Motorcycle Dynamics’. You can find the book at Amazon here.

The 2nd edition of Motorcycle Dynamics gets excellent reviews, although it would appear that most of the reviewers may also be researchers and those who more frequently read research slanted work.

In any event, it seems that this may be one of the definitive sources on motorcycling physics and would thus be a wonderful resource for those interested in the subject.

About Ronn

More to follow in this space. I am just a guy who is interested in motorcycles. I currently ride an '04 HD Heritage Softail Classic (I traded in my '06 HD XL 1200 C in February 2008). I started this site because I am just arrogant enough to think that I can put together a site that appeals to a wide, cross-section of riders on several different levels. I hope you find it interesting, provocative (just really wanted to use that word :-) and fun and that you will encourage others to visit as well. Thanks!

Mike – Thanks for mentioning it. Tony’s book looks to be another great resource with regards to motorcycle design dynamics.
