Tunes for your bike

I originally saw these at the V-Twin Expo in Dallas recently. And if you are wanting to add tunes to your bike, this may be a good option for you.
From a company called 2 Wheel Tunes comes a setup for a wide variety of bikes. You can find their web site here.

The system requires you to have an iPod or XM satellite radio system to get the tunes to a set of bullet-style handlebar mounted speakers that are driven by a 50W X 2 amp. The kit also contains a universal mount.

The demo I saw was pretty slick and blended well with the bike. My only concern was wind noise that you would encounter going down the highway. But according to the rep I talked to, the design of the system negates that well.

The rep did also advise me that the iPod Nano is a much better choice for use, if you have an iPod, as it uses a flash drive as opposed to a spinning hard drive. This is due to vibration which will be transferred to the iPod as it sits in its mount.

Enjoy!

About Ronn

More to follow in this space. I am just a guy who is interested in motorcycles. I currently ride an '04 HD Heritage Softail Classic (I traded in my '06 HD XL 1200 C in February 2008). I started this site because I am just arrogant enough to think that I can put together a site that appeals to a wide, cross-section of riders on several different levels. I hope you find it interesting, provocative (just really wanted to use that word :-) and fun and that you will encourage others to visit as well. Thanks!
