The August issue Good Times should be hitting the news stands today, so be sure to pick up a copy when you are out and about. And since the August issue is out, that means that there is another Rubber Side Down column as well.

Although we would hope that you would pick up a copy of the full magazine, at least you can find a copy of the RSD article below.

For August, we report about two events. One that has actually already happened. And one that is coming up.

For the past event, we provide a recap of the BlackGold Rally which, although wet and rainy, occurred last month.

And for the future event, we include some info on the upcoming Ride For Dime, which is held in the the DFW Metroplex.

The July issue of Good Times magazine is out and available for you to pick up at the usual locations. In it is also our Rubber Side Down article for July.

Our article this month featured a top 10 list, thus the title, ‘Top 10 Places to Play Pool If You Ride 2-Wheels’.

In the June issue of Good Times magazine, our Rubber Side Down article reported on several trips to the Texas hill country. Thus the title, ‘Hill Country Travels’.

In the article, we talk a little about our experiences in attending a couple of rallys in the hill country, the Hawgs-n-Hills Rally in Llano and the Hill Country Run in Fredericksburg.

In addition, we mention an interesting new business in Snyder, Texas, that should be biker friendly and should be opening soon.

Snyder, in case you didn’t know, is the home to the annual White Buffalo Rally which is held in October. More info on it will follow.

This article focuses on local motorcycle shop owner, Gary Reese, and how he came about to today be co-owner of Midessa Motorcycles. In addition, we discuss our introduction to choppers, including a visit to the American IronHorse factory in Fort Worth.

For this month’s column, we interviewed Mark Pollock, owner of Transpecos Guitar in Alpine, TX. Mark is also the co-founder of the Dallas Guitar Show which will be held on April 20-21-22 at the Dallas Market Hall. This year’s show is the 30th Annual, so it promises to be a big deal.

Here is an excerpt of the article.

You gotta love a guy who invites a girl to ride on the back of his ’91 H-D Springer for a date—from Dallas to Austin and back—with no sissy bar! It was her first ride ever on a motorcycle and now she is his wife of eight years! According to Mark Pollock, guitar whisperer and owner of TransPecos Guitars in Alpine, “not only did she say yes, but she never complained, not even once. How could I not marry a girl like that?” We agree Mary is a ‘keeper’!

In addition to the Dallas Guitar Show, the same weekend in Dallas will feature the Easyrider’s V-Twin Bike Show Tour and Rick Fairless of Strokers Dallas will be hosting the official Easyriders Show Pre-Party. The weekend should be a blast!

We’ll be there to cover the events for Good Times and hope to see some of y’all there.
